BDO in Ukraine is upgrading its skills as part of the NEB for Ukraine’s recovery: New European Bauhaus training from U-lead

17/ 10/ 2024
The ESG Manager of BDO in Ukraine has successfully completed the Train-the-Trainer program from InnoRenew CoE. This program aims to enhance competencies in sustainable, inclusive, and aesthetic construction. We are prepared to contribute the insights gained during the training to Ukraine’s recovery projects and to engage actively in international initiatives. The country’s recovery will require the input of experts who are conversant with the principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) and possess the requisite skills to implement them in rebuilding communities. The New European Bauhaus (NEB) is a transdisciplinary movement that combines science, technology, art, and culture. Its goal is to leverage green and digital challenges to enhance quality of life. NEB invites you to collaborate in addressing critical social issues. The basic principles of the NEB are: Sustainable development: From climate goals to zero pollution and maintaining biodiversity. Aesthetics: Improving the quality of life through design and functionality. Inclusiveness: Ensuring equal opportunities for all, regardless of diversity or financial means. The NEB Academy facilitates collaboration between our experts and European partners to develop educational programs that will drive regional and community development. The training covered the following main topics: NEB principles and best practices in construction. Design of wooden buildings. NEB Compass and investment recommendations. Use of biomaterials and innovative teaching methods. An example of the reconstruction of the Servite Monastery. The training concluded with a discussion of the potential for establishing a NEB Academy Hub in Ukraine. This will be a crucial component in the continued advancement of restoration projects. The event was held in accordance with the Restoring a Better Ukraine through NEB Academy initiative, supported by the program U-LEAD with Europe. We are pleased to share our expertise and actively engage in Ukraine’s recovery projects and international initiatives. If you would like to learn more about the NEB principles and their application in your project, please contact BDO in Ukraine for advice and support.
