Baker McKenzie Announces the Promotion of Alyona Bon and Roman Koren to Counsel in the Kyiv Office

  Baker McKenzies Kyiv office is pleased to announce the promotion of two distinguished Senior Associates, Alyona Bon and Roman Koren, to the position of Counsel, effective 1 July 2025. These promotions reflect the Firms continued commitment to recognizing exceptional legal talent and leadership within its global network. Alyona Bon, a highly skilled practitioner in the Corporate M&A Practice Group, has played a key role in advising our multinational clients on complex, high-value cross-border M&A transactions, initiated both by leading Ukrainian and international businesses. For the past three years, she has consistently served as a trusted advisor in the acquisition of non-Ukrainian companies across a range of jurisdictions and industries, with a particular focus on the TMT and industrial sectors, especially agriculture. Her promotion acknowledges her deep legal expertise, client-focused approach and consistent delivery of high-impact results. Roman Koren, a key member of the Tax Practice Group, brings extensive experience in Ukrainian and international tax law. He is widely recognized for his strategic counsel on transactional tax planning, tax structuring, and domestic contentious matters. He acts as a trusted advisor to banks and private clients on wealth management and succession planning matters.
