The ЕВА took part in the meeting of the Transport Negotiation Working Group

  On 22 April, a meeting of the Transport Negotiation Working Group took place. The group is responsible for preparing Ukraine’s positions for upcoming negotiations with the European Union regarding the Accession Agreement. The session was chaired by the Head of the Group — First Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Aliona Shkrum. The meeting gathered representatives of the government, relevant enterprises, institutions, as well as civil society and business organisations. The European Business Association is a member of the Transport Negotiation Working Group and represents the interests of the business community in the process of developing important decisions that directly impact the development of Ukraine’s transport sector, particularly in the context of European integration. During the meeting, participants discussed the current state, key aspects, and risks of adapting Ukrainian transport legislation to European standards, in preparation for the upcoming bilateral EU–Ukraine screening meeting, scheduled to take place in Brussels from 24 to 27 June 2025. The discussion focused on draft laws and initiatives under Negotiation Chapter 14: Transport Policy. The European Business Association will continue to engage in the processes aimed at harmonising national legislation with EU standards, ensuring that the interests of the business community are taken into account in key areas.
