Anzhela Makhinova Re-elected as Head of Working Group on International Trade of American Chamber of Commerce (ACC)

03/ 05/ 2024
Sayenko Kharenko is pleased to announce that Anzhela Makhinova, a partner at the firm, has been re-elected as the Head of the Chamber Working Group on International Trade. This prestigious appointment underscores Makhinova’s expertise and leadership in international trade law. The Chamber Working Groups, as crucial advocacy platforms, play a pivotal role in achieving specific objectives within the Chamber Committees. By working closely with relevant government bodies and stakeholders, these groups are instrumental in developing, enhancing, and resolving issues that have a direct and significant impact on the businesses of Chamber members. The establishment of the Working Group on International Trade within the Customs Committee is a strategic move aimed at promoting Ukrainian exports, removing trade barriers, and ensuring the effective implementation of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and trade preferences. Makhinova’s leadership will be instrumental in advancing these strategic objectives and driving positive outcomes for Ukrainian businesses involved in international trade. “Since the inception of the working group, I have had the honour of chairing it for seven consecutive years. I deeply appreciate the trust bestowed upon me and the opportunity to lead our focused efforts in this critical area. This role carries significant responsibility and offers a unique opportunity to advance our nation’s foreign economic initiatives. I am confident that our collaborative work with fellow Chamber members will continue to create a favourable environment for trade expansion and enhance access to global markets. European integration is a key component of our agenda. Our primary goal is actively engaging businesses in this process, ensuring their interests are represented while laying the foundations for successfully adopting European standards and practices”- commented Anzhela Makhinova, partner of Sayenko Kharenko. Sayenko Kharenko congratulates Anzhela Makhinova on her appointment and wishes her continued success leading the Chamber Working Group on International Trade.
