GOLAW attorneys have successfully defended the Prosecutor from unlawful dismissal

05/ 08/ 2021
The Prosecutor of the Prosecutor Generals Office of Ukraine was dismissed due to his submission of an application for transfer to the Office of the Prosecutor General of an unspecified form. GOLAW attorneys managed to convince the court that such a dismissal was illegal. The court found the decision unlawful, revoked the dismissal order as well as reinstated the Prosecutor in the same position in the Office of the Prosecutor General. Furthermore, the court recovered the average salary for the entire period of forced absence. While considering the appeal of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Court of Appeal upheld the position of GOLAW attorneys, thus leaving the decision of the court of the first instance. The project was run by a team of GOLAW attorneys – Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Kateryna Manoylenko, Counsel at Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice – Kateryna Tsvetkova, as well as Attorney at law at Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice – Anastasiia Nikolenko.
