  On 15 March 2011 Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved in second hearing the Draft Law Concerning Basic Anti-Corruption Measures in Ukraine No 7487 registered on 17 December 2010 and initiated by the President of Ukraine. The Law foresees regulations in wide array of spheres of public life and state service, establishes creation of state single registry of persons that violated the Law which shall be coordinated by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. Also the Law foresees establishment of the anti-corruption expertise of the Drafts of the normative-legislative acts, defines main principles for corruption fighting, widens the circle of persons potentially bearing responsibility for corruptive actions etc. EBA welcomes legislative steps aimed at fighting corruption. In every endeavour, the EBA is consistently committed to the aim of preventing and fighting corruption, making public sector less vulnerable to it and improving Ukraine’s image on the international arena.
