On 15th September, 2017, the Draft Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2018 was registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in which the revenue part of the budget for 2018 was developed with a reduction of the set rate of deductions on the net profit of Ukrainian State Port Administration (USPA) from 75% to 50%.
Before the publication of the Draft Law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2018, the EBA Logistics Committee received a positive response from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine about reducing the amount of deductions from the profits of the USPA to 50%.
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine considered and took into account the proposal of the EBA Logistics Committee members to reduce the payment of the profit (net income) passed on to the State Budget of Ukraine by unitary enterprises and their associations from 75 to 50 percent, starting from 2018. Such reductions have already been taken into account in the Draft Main Directions of Budget Policy for 2018-2020.
We would like to remind that the EBA Logistics Committee initiated these changes, because the large amount of deductions to the State Budget (75% of net profit) of the USPA prevented the proper maintenance of port infrastructure in normal technical conditions and made operations of capital dredging impossible.
The Association sincerely thanks the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for their attention to issues facing the business community and hopes for further consideration of the proposal during approval of the State Budget of Ukraine for the next year.
