Odesa Transport issues

19/ 02/ 2026
On February 19, the first offline meeting of the EBA Transport Working Group in 2026 took place in Odesa, hosted at the office of member company Ukramarine. The event brought together representatives from Inter Trans Logistics, Risoil Terminal, Ukrferry, Ukratlantic, Amadeus Marine, Interlegal, Imtrex, Nunit, Onewhale, Blast LLC, and Wisdom LLC for an open discussion on the state of logistics in the region, infrastructure security, and upcoming challenges.  Kateryna Morozova, Head of the Southern Ukraine Office, opened the session, noting that despite ongoing pressures and risks, companies continue to adapt, investing in resilience and their own protection systems.  The meeting was moderated by Volodymyr Huz, Head of the EBA Odesa Transport Working Group and Commercial Director at GOL, who emphasized that the key task for business today is not only to respond to challenges but also to develop long-term solutions that ensure industry stability.  During the discussion, participants focused on practical aspects of maritime logistics in a frontline region. Key topics included the safety of ports and critical infrastructure, energy resilience and uninterrupted operation of transshipment facilities, personnel issues, and mobilization challenges. Businesses shared their adaptation experiences — from creating autonomous power systems to participating in programs for defending port territories.  Regulatory barriers affecting the speed of logistics chain recovery, as well as the practice of recognizing force majeure in maritime transportation, were also addressed — issues that remain critical for port operators and shipping companies.  The EBA Odesa Transport Working Group continues to work on developing joint initiatives and practical solutions aimed at strengthening the resilience of logistics chains and protecting business interests at both regional and national levels.
