Odesa Transport issues

The difficult economic situation in our country demands from the representatives of the transport industry increased attention to organization and arrangement of transportations. At this point, there is a need to increase the accuracy of planning, analysis and economic assessment of the work of both large transport systems and its individual elements. Only on the basis of accurate calculations and analysis the development of rational resource-saving schemes of cargo transportation became possible. That is why, on October 31, the EBA Odesa Transport Working Group, in partnership with the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine, held a discussion on the possibilities of increasing the efficiency of logistics companies.

During the workshop essential issues of the industry were raised. In particular, the differences between the current 1C program and its previous versions: new options, excellent configurations and legislative boundaries for its use, cooperation and use of Ukrzaliznytsia’s software, CRM audit for transport companies. Speakers talked about automation systems for freight forwarding and logistics companies involved in multimodal container transport, about the minimum legal standards in this area. Separately, they paid attention to the structure of the freight forwarder’s risks and the mechanisms of protection from them. Participants answered the questions they were interested in, in particular, how to obtain financial statements and to organize accounting, how to protect pseudo-legal actions of counterparties, how to counteract fraudulent schemes in transport, and the influence of state bodies on transport business.
