On March 9, 2017, HR managers from EBA member companies were discussing major issues in human resource management at manufacturing companies and searching for solutions to them.
For the majority of companies, these issues seem quite similar. Among the key problems are recruiting of qualified employees for production, the outflow of workers abroad, retention and motivation of the staff.
According to the participants, decent conditions and fair salary, company image, the values of the company, friendly atmosphere in the team, as well as training and development are essential for retention of staff and good advantage when seeking new employees.
Among other things, as the result of the event, it was decided to create a working group in order to consider the aspects of the employment of people with disabilities, to deepen cooperation with vocational schools and employment centers.
