Ukraine Recovery

30/ 08/ 2022
The informal meeting of representatives of the EBAs Ukraine Recovery Committee took place in Kyiv. During the meeting, the participants discussed the White Book of the Association with proposals for the restoration of Ukraine in various areas, in particular: construction, logistics and infrastructure, energy, agriculture, food industry, mining industry, woodworking industry, technical regulation, customs, tax and financial issues, licensing system, intellectual property, health care, as well as issues of labour resources, pension reform, equal opportunities policy, etc. The EBAs proposals include both urgent ones that need to be implemented as soon as possible to solve current problems and longer-term ones, the implementation of which will contribute to the improvement of the business environment in Ukraine and the recovery of our country. The Committee members also discussed the prospects of attracting new investments to Ukraine and possible tools for creating a more favourable investment climate in Ukraine, such as an interactive map for potential investors, more active work with regional authorities, simplification of regulatory barriers, etc. Among the priority directions of the Committees work was the deepening of cooperation with the relevant authorities and partner countries that have already expressed interest in taking an active part in the reconstruction of Ukraine. We hope that all ideas and plans worked out by the Committee will be implemented, and there will be more and more such offline meetings!
