Odesa Transport issues

  International cargo carriage is difficult bussiness. It should be computed the definitive transport considering freights characteristics, honored reles, law and traditions of different countries, planed economically profitable way, in order to dispatch the consignment from one point to another. As a result, the whole logistics chain is formed, which is only possible for true professional forwarders. In 1926 the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations - FIATA was created for improving and simplifying these prosesses. Today this federation unites more than 40 thousand enterprises from 150 countries. One of its functions is the development and implementation of unified freight forwarding documents and the enhancement the services quality. All these pecularities we found out on 4 April 2018 at the EBA Odesa Transport Working Group  together with the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine (AIFFU). Viktor Berestenko, Chairman of the Working Group and co-founder of ITL, and Andriy Skidan, founder of A2 Solutions performed as speakers. FIATA standards and forms are a relatively new phenomenon in the flow of forwarding companies and their clients in Ukraine. Although in many countries in Europe, Asia and America they have been used since the mid-1960s. Regulation of international trade relations is constantly seeking and finding new implementation for productive interaction, unification of international document circulation, enforcement of the treaty and settlements with foreign partners. FIATA standards are no exception , - said Mr. Victor. During the meeting, speakers clarifyed the notion and application of intrnational standards, typical rules of freight forwarding and FIATA forms analysis. Also, the participants had the opportunity to read in detail such documents as FFI (FIATA Forwarding Instructions, Shippers Intermodal Weight Certificate, Shipper Intermodal Weight Certificate), SDT (Shippers Declaration for the Transport (of Dangerous Goods)), FCR (Forwarders Certificate of Receipt), FCT (Forwarders Certificate of Transport), etc. In general, the use of FIATA standards can be a guarantee of the forwarding companys  reliability and the high quality of its services. In addition, the process of cargo transportation will be regulated at all its stages and in general.
