Online Conversation with a Doctor: Body, Stress and Health – How We Adapt to Life in Uncertain Times. Psychology & Wellbeing Hub. Date: 06 November2026. Time: 11:00 12:30. Language: Ukrainian. Place: Zoom. What does it mean to be healthy in a world of constant uncertainty? How does prolonged exposure to danger affect our bodies, psychological wellbeing, and perception of the world around us? And why does taking care of our health involve more than just proper nutrition, physical activity, and sufficient sleep? We often think of health in terms of separate components: physical condition, mental wellbeing, nutrition, sleep, or exercise. However, human beings are complex, interconnected systems influenced not only by biological processes but also by social environments, life experiences, personal values, and a sense of safety. These questions become particularly relevant during wartime, when our bodies must adapt to prolonged stress and familiar ways of recovering may no longer be sufficient. How can we better understand ourselves and our bodies needs? What influences our ability to adapt and recover? And how can we balance modern approaches to health and wellbeing with our fundamental human needs? About the Event. The EBA Psychological & Wellbeing Hub invites you to an online conversation with a doctor, bringing together medical, psychological, and philosophical perspectives on human health. Joining the conversation: Anna Derevyanko, Executive Director of the European Business Association Yevhen Volchenko, a medical doctor with 31 years of clinical experience, PhD in Psychology, specialist in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, and Co-founder of the Aurum Medical Rehabilitation Center Together, we will explore health from medical, psychological, and philosophical perspectives and discuss practical approaches to supporting physical and mental wellbeing. The event will combine a short theoretical presentation with an open conversation, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions directly to the doctor. Key Discussion Topics. The Human Being as a Whole — how biological, psychological, social, and philosophical dimensions shape our understanding of ourselves Health and Illness — why health goes beyond physical condition and how our understanding of it changes depending on life circumstances Living Through War — how danger, prolonged stress, and changes in our sense of safety influence our wellbeing Body, Time, and Space — how we experience life through bodily sensations, interactions with others, and our surroundings Daily Habits and Recovery — the role of daily routines, nutrition, physical activity, and sleep in maintaining health Modern Approaches to Health and Wellbeing — medications, stimulants, technology, and biohacking: opportunities, limitations, and risks What Participants Will Gain. A broader understanding of health as an interaction of physical, psychological, and social factors Greater awareness of the connections between prolonged stress, bodily experiences, and overall wellbeing An opportunity to reconsider their personal approach to health and self-care Practical insights into daily habits, recovery, and modern wellness practices An opportunity to ask questions directly to a doctor with extensive clinical experience Who Should Attend.
