Strategy for 2027: finance leaders will discuss an action plan for Ukrainian businesses

12/ 10/ 2026
The 24th Ukrainian CFO Forum will take place in Kyiv on 22–23 October – the leading professional event for CFOs, CEOs, business owners, investors and heads of key business functions. Innoware will be the ERP and Digital Transformation Partner of Ukrainian CFO Forum 2026. This year’s programme focuses on the decisions Ukrainian companies need to make today as they develop their financial models and strategies for 2027 amid war and high uncertainty. The Forum’s two-day programme will feature 16 hours of professional content: 10 sessions comprising panel discussions, interviews and practical case studies, with more than 50 speakers from market-leading companies. Ukrainian businesses are entering the 2027 planning cycle without a single baseline scenario. The destruction and loss of assets, attacks on energy and logistics infrastructure, the high cost of capital, staff shortages, regulatory changes and accelerating digital transformation are shortening the planning horizon and constantly changing the conditions in which businesses must make decisions. A separate challenge for most Ukrainian companies remains their continued reliance on russian accounting systems and the resulting need to replace russian software as soon as possible with modern, secure, international business management solutions. 1C/BAS is already banned for state-owned enterprises and critical infrastructure facilities. Restrictions on its use by companies in the private sector will be introduced next. Clearly, the continued use of russian software exposes businesses to a range of risks – from data loss and espionage to the inability to plan for the future and scale. This is why CFOs are most often the ones who initiate projects to replace 1C/BAS. This means CFOs must simultaneously ensure liquidity and business continuity, review financial models and manage capital and risks, as well as initiating investment and transformation projects that will shape the company’s future. The practical case study «Early signs of digital de-occupation: personnel accounting and payroll processing without 1C», presented by Innoware and British American Tobacco Ukraine, is aimed specifically at leaders planning to migrate from russian software to Microsoft solutions. The session will take place on 23 October, the second day of the forum. In focus: Why the best time to move away from russian software was yesterday. How the new system and partner were selected: criteria, budget and expected results. How to migrate without interrupting payroll processing: data, timelines and critical risks. Speakers: Vladyslav Leshchiy, Finance Director, British American Tobacco Ukraine Dmytro Popinako, CEO and Founder of Innoware Tetiana Nechai, Head of IT, British American Tobacco Ukraine We invite business leaders and finance directors to join Ukrainian CFO Forum 2026 – those who remain open to new knowledge and technologies despite global uncertainty and today’s challenges.
