YouControl’s Company ESG Profile: New Opportunities for Business Analysis

22/ 07/ 2026
YouControl, an analytical platform for counterparty due diligence, is expanding its business intelligence capabilities. The company has upgraded its ESG Profile by incorporating new open-data sets, enabling more detailed and comprehensive assessments of its business partners, customers, and suppliers. The update represents a practical response to the gradual evolution of regulatory and market expectations. The National Bank of Ukraine has recommended that financial institutions revise their internal ESG risk management policies.  At the same time, Ukrainian companies seeking European investment or participating in EU supply chains should prepare for potential reporting obligations based on European ESG criteria. Against this backdrop, European sustainability standards are gradually evolving from a corporate trend into a material business consideration. Compliance with these standards is becoming increasingly important for companies seeking to maintain their competitiveness in international markets, establish secure and responsible business relationships, and attract investment. What is the ESG Profile?. YouControl’s ESG Profile is the first solution in Ukraine to provide a comprehensive, automated assessment of ESG factors relating to companies and individual entrepreneurs. It transforms the complex Environmental and Social Due Diligence process into a rapid digital workflow, enhances assessment objectivity through the consistent application of standardised criteria, and minimises the influence of human error. The ESG Profile currently conducts automated analysis of open data obtained from more than 30 sources across 155 assessment factors. These are divided into the three established ESG pillars: 113 environmental factors, 23 social factors, and 19 governance factors. Screenshot from the YouControl system, ESG Profile module The digital module is continuously updated to ensure alignment with evolving sustainability standards. Its methodology is adapted to the requirements of the European Green Deal and relevant sector-specific EU directives. In addition, its analytical algorithms incorporate the environmental and social criteria established by the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank, as well as the requirements of the Business Development Fund of Ukraine. What the update introduces. The latest release adds a new and critically important data set to the ESG/E&S Assessment (ESDD) section: “Inclusion in the Register of Declarations of conformity of facilities and equipment with occupational health and safety legislation.” The register contains comprehensive details on each declaration, including its registration number and date, current status, competent issuing authority, and the location where the relevant work is carried out or where high-risk machinery, mechanisms, and equipment are operated. Screenshot from the YouControl system, ESG Profile module Each declaration is supported by an active link. Users can access the PDF version of the original document with a single click and download it for internal reporting or record-keeping, as required. The update therefore substantially accelerates ESG compliance procedures during counterparty due diligence. This is particularly valuable for financial institutions, as the streamlined interface significantly reduces the time spent manually searching government registers and verifying source documents. Why the update matters for businesses. The condition of a company’s facilities, equipment, and technical infrastructure, together with its occupational safety practices, forms an important part of the environmental and technological risk dimension of sustainable development. These factors directly influence an organisation’s ability to prevent environmental incidents and industrial accidents. Environmental risks may be regarded as comparable to financial risks because their consequences can include regulatory fines, operational shutdowns, litigation, and reputational damage.  “Incorporating information from the Register of Declarations of Compliance with occupational health and safety requirements into the ESG Profile provides banks and businesses with an additional and significant analytical resource. It enables them to assess whether an enterprise has modernised its equipment, identify potential operational challenges, and understand how these issues may affect workplace safety and the environment,” says Yevhenii Dovhaliuk, ESG Lead at YouControl and founder of the Lake Supii project. Where the activities of a prospective business partner involve heightened risk, the absence of the required regulatory documentation, including permits or declarations confirming compliance of facilities and equipment, constitutes a clear indication of possible non-compliance and potential exposure across the wider supply chain. Making this data available through the ESG Profile increases transparency, provides greater insight into a counterparty’s risk management practices, and enables businesses and financial institutions to make more informed decisions before entering into a contractual relationship. Who will benefit from this solution?. The solution is relevant to banks and other financial institutions assessing customers, particularly businesses participating in government-backed programmes such as “5-7-9” or receiving financing for reconstruction initiatives. It is also valuable to large and medium-sized businesses seeking government support, international grants, or investment, as well as companies aiming to establish partnerships with European organisations. Analysts and compliance officers can use the solution to quickly assess potential counterparty risks and develop evidence-based recommendations for senior management. YouControl continues to build an integrated ecosystem of solutions that enables more efficient compliance due diligence and contributes to a more transparent business environment. The company is also actively developing API-based solutions, allowing these advanced compliance capabilities to be embedded directly into corporate CRM, ERP, and other internal business systems. * * * Company Background YouControl is a Ukrainian technology company and a recognised leader in compliance and open-source data analytics.
