INGO Pays Insurance Indemnity for Novus Distribution Center Damaged in Missile Attack

19/ 11/ 2025
INGO Insurance Company has paid UAH 9.46 million under the property insurance contract of LLC “Automobile Company SERVICEAVTOTRADING,” which services the NOVUS distribution center in Kyiv. The modern logistics complex, covering 40,000 sq. m and commissioned in 2023, sustained damage in July 2025 as a result of an air attack carried out by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The powerful blast wave caused damage to external structures, finishing elements, engineering systems, and the rooftop solar power plant. No fatalities or injuries were reported. “Following the initial inspection, we identified deformations of the external sandwich panels and the destruction of joint elements,” said Oleksandr Kolpakov, Head of the Property Loss Adjustment Department at INGO Insurance Company. “During a subsequent assessment conducted together with the contractor responsible for the restoration work, hidden damage to the internal layers of the panels was discovered. Such defects are not always visible externally, yet they indicate a loss of load-bearing capacity and thermal insulation performance, rendering the structures unfit for further operation. Detecting such nuances is crucial for accurately determining the extent of damage and ensuring full restoration of the facility,” the expert added. During both contract placement and loss settlement, the interests of the insured were represented by the insurance broker LLC “Aston Ukraine.” “We have been cooperating with INGO for several years and value their systematic approach to claims settlement. In situations like this, the speed of response and willingness to jointly identify optimal solutions for the client are critical. This case has become one of the largest for our clients and clearly demonstrated how effective cooperation between the insurer, the insurance broker, and technical experts can be when all parties are focused on achieving results,” commented Oleg Suprunyuk, Head of the Loss Adjustment Department at Aston Ukraine. The insurance indemnity totaling UAH 9.46 million was paid on October 30, 2025. INGO continues to provide insurance coverage to Ukrainian enterprises, including critical and commercial infrastructure facilities, which remain exposed to heightened risks due to ongoing military actions.
