Activitis and Piraeus Bank Join Forces to Promote Financial Inclusion in the Agricultural Sector

  Fintech company Activitis and Piraeus Bank* are entering into a strategic partnership aimed at transforming the way agribusinesses access financial services. Together, the two institutions are developing an innovative digital service designed to empower small farmers through faster, more accessible, and convenient banking solutions. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to strengthening Ukraine’s agricultural sector, a cornerstone of the national economy, by ensuring that farmers and agribusinesses can benefit from inclusive and efficient financial tools. “We believe that every farmer deserves equal access to quality financial services. This partnership reflects our vision of digital banking without boundaries. Partnering with Activitis enables us to bridge the gap between technology and real agricultural needs, empowering small farmers to thrive and contribute to Ukraine’s resilient rural economy,” — Mykhailo Serhienko, Director of Product Development and Digital Banking, Piraeus Bank. The upcoming service will be integrated into the WEAGRO ecosystem, a dynamic digital platform that combines advanced technologies and tailored financial solutions to address the real needs of agricultural enterprises. The partnership between Activitis and Piraeus Bank marks the next step in developing the WEAGRO ecosystem, aimed at expanding access to a wide range of financial services within a single digital space for farmers, agricultural producers, and input suppliers. We are joining forces with a partner who shares our vision for the development and digitalization of the agricultural market, and who also brings deep international expertise in agricultural financing, — Pavlo Matiyash, CEO of the fintech company Activitis.
