This enables companies to represent their interests in full compliance with the law by using the Associations established infrastructure, without having to build all the necessary processes independently. Why is this beneficial for companies? The key advantage of this model is that companies can engage in lobbying through the Association, while the EBA team takes care of all organisational matters, interaction with the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), compliance with legal requirements, and expert support. This is an optimal solution for companies that, for various reasons, are unable to register as lobbyists themselves but need to engage with public authorities to advocate for business interests. How does it work? To participate, a company must: be a member of the European Business Association; be a member of the EBA Lobbying and Transparent Policies Committee; participate in at least one industry committee and/or serve on the leadership of an open EBA committee; pay a one-off targeted contribution of EUR 300; submit an official letter to the Association delegating its employee (using the template provided by the EBA), who will enter into a mandate agreement with the Association. Once these steps have been completed, the companys representative may conduct lobbying activities on behalf of the Association within the agreed positions of the relevant committee.
