20 years of cooperation Kyivstar and Telesens: a story of joint success

01/ 12/ 2023
In December 2023, Kyivstar and Telesens will celebrate 20 years of successful cooperation, which began on February 28, 2003, with the signing of a contract for the implementation of the T-IC (Tinterconnect) product. In the early 2000s, there were about 15 companies in the world that had their own Interconnect Billing System product development, and Telesens was one of them. Moreover, Telesens was the first and only Ukrainian company to create such a product for the foreign market. Among all possible partners, Kyivstar chose a Ukrainian partner with experience and expertise in implementing Interconnect for telecom operators. It is important to note that Kyivstar is the first operator in the Ukrainian market to implement this kind of system. This solution was innovative, as the Interconnect system made it possible to quickly and efficiently tariff calls and automate the process of settlements between telecom operators. Over the 20 years of cooperation, T-IC (Tinterconnect) has been improving and growing together with Kyivstar. In 2003, Kyivstar served 2.5 million customers, and today this number has grown to 24.1 million. Continuous growth has prompted Telesens to optimize its system so that it can run smoothly and handle the increasing traffic volume, and the Telesens system handles more than 1 billion events that pass through the operators equipment every month. Throughout the entire period of cooperation, Telesens has been constantly implementing a number of improvements and enhancements that allow us to increase the systems performance and functionality in line with the growing needs of the partner. Besides the longest-running T-IC (Tinterconnect) project, Telesens has developed and implemented the following modules for Kyivstar: Content Partner Management, which allows making payments to content providers that deliver services to customers through a telecom operator; Automated downloading of price lists within the Traffic Trade Management system, which allows you to quickly track changes in international carriers tariffs; T-Collation (T-C), which automates the process of reconciling detailed data of missed traffic with the data of partners when settling mutual settlements with connected operators. The cooperation between Telesens and Kyivstar is not limited to product implementation and support. Our developers and specialists constantly interact with Kyivstar team, receive feedback and offer new ideas for further joint development. Telesens comment: Twenty years ago, Kyivstar was the first Ukrainian telecom operator to believe in a young company with a challenging startup project. For us, our clients always come first, and over the past twenty years we have not lost their trust, which has become our best recommendation, said Eduard Rubin, founder of Telesens. Kyivstar comment:  For twenty years of fruitful cooperation, Telesens professionals have repeatedly proved that IT products created in Ukraine by our compatriots are in no way inferior to their global counterparts, and in some respects even surpass them. Understanding the clients needs and the ability to meet them in the shortest possible time and with consistently high quality is what distinguishes Telesens as a reliable partner of Kyivstar, said Andrey Zhukovskiy, CIO of Kyivstar. * * * For reference About Kyivstar  Kyivstar is the largest Ukrainian telecommunications operator, which as of September 2023 served more than 24 million mobile customers and more than 1 million Home Internet customers.  The company provides services using a wide range of mobile and fixed-line technologies, including 4G, Big Data, Cloud solutions, cybersecurity services, digital TV, etc.  Kyivstar helps customers, society and the country overcome the challenges of wartime.
