01/ 06/ 2021
On May 20-21, 2021 Kyiv hosted the International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN-2021 - a leading communication platform that gathers agribusiness leaders to discuss key trends, central events and future directions of the Black Sea and the global agri sector development. The organizer of the conference is the consulting agency UkrAgroConsult.  This year the conference attracted over 350 delegates from 30 countries to attend both in person and online. The conference provided its participants with 2 days of exclusive analytics from international industry experts, effective networking and meetings with players across the value chain, top managers, decision-makers and opinion leaders.  The experts reviewed the fundamental factors of grain production and pricing both in the Black Sea region and abroad, and shared their views on the causes and consequences of the global commodity supercycle for the agricultural sector. The S&D ratio of the worlds largest players - China, the United States and South America - was considered, and estimates and expectations for the new season were put forward. Australian return to the world grain arena and the resumption of competition with Ukrainian grain was discussed too. Topics relevant to traders and brokers included price volatility, government regulation and trade barriers in the giant player markets, as well as the experience and challenges of forward trading in Ukraine over the past season. Much attention was paid to the grain, legumes and oilseeds development strategies, as well as the prospects of competitiveness and efficiency of agricultural logistics on the Black Sea coast. The conference also included seminars from Fortior Law and StoneX on trade dispute resolution and price risk management. Leading experts from Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, China, the USA, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain and Pakistan shared their views. Objective analysis and effective communication between agro market players are now more important than ever for adapting business strategies to the new market reality. Therefore, the conference has become an important tool for exchanging views and developing effective business strategies for agro operators. UkrAgroConsult is grateful to all delegates, sponsors, speakers and partners of the BLACK SEA GRAIN-2021 conference for their huge contribution to finding answers to numerous questions. There is no doubt that the path of cooperation and close communication will lead us to the development of the grain and oilseed industries both in the Black Sea region and beyond. We wish every agrarian a successful season, new achievements and rapid expansion of business horizons! Be reminded: the General Sponsor of the Conference is ACTAVA TRADING. Official Sponsor – Viterra. Sponsors - StoneX Group Inc, Euronext, Ayhan Sezer, Sintez Group&Co. The Conference is supported by GAFTA and Ukrainian Grain Association. We also inform you that the 18th International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN-2022 is scheduled for 2022, InterContinetal hotel, Kyiv. Until next time, friends!
