Meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna

01/ 12/ 2020
The Associations office in Dnipro joined the public discussion with Olga Stefanyshyna, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, and Matti Maasikas, the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine. We discussed the opportunities and further cooperation between Ukrainian business and the countries of the European Union, which would become more possible with the beginning of updating the Association Agreement with the EU and its economic and trade part. The representatives of business, companies – members of the Association, expressed their views, expectations and changes they needed to facilitate the export of products to EU countries. Mr. Matti mentioned that export to EU countries from Ukraine has decreased by 18% in the last eight months, so revision of the Agreement with the EU will allow entrepreneurs to: expand access to new markets; analyze and increase products positions for exports; improve cooperation with potential customers and partners. At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that Dnipropetrovsk region was the first region where business talked more about opportunities than about the problems of cooperation with the EU. Kateryna Prysiazhniuk, the Head of the Associations Dnipro Office, also joined the discussion, congratulated our region with opening the European Integration Office, one of the first in Ukraine, and expressed her hopes for further cooperation and dialogue which European Business Association in Dnipro is always open to.
