  • Higher Vocational Education/University
  • > 5 years of work experience in BD & sales
  • > 3 years of work experience in professional services (engineering, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and experience in engineering and business; one or more market segments in which Bilfinger Tebodin operates
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, business principles, and industry trends
  • Negotiation & Persuasion skills
  • Good command of the spoken and written English language


  • Monitoring and assessing developments (with customers, leads, competitors, in new products, and services) within one or more sectors of the market, within the framework of the strategic policy of Bilfinger Tebodin, so as to be informed about investments in an early stage and being able to anticipate demands in the market/of the customer
  • Developing a market vision, identifying and selecting new markets and customer groups. Translating new concepts into a supported business case, a concrete Go-to-Market plan and related implementation actions. Active support of the relevant Business Line
  • Developing and expanding a customer portfolio by identifying and actively approaching potential new customers (cold calling), with the aim of generating real opportunities for profitable revenue
  • Establishing of and liaising with good external contacts (customers, interest groups, strategic partners, etc.) and internal contacts
  • Maintaining and developing professional relations with (inter)national customers and if necessary to coordinating multi-level account teams, taking into account the potential of the account, which is assessed in the form of a strategic Account Plan
  • Developing, coordinating, and monitoring sales plans, including an action plan for each customer, within multiple market segments, with the aim of prioritising for the best customer approach, and planning and securing the agreed sales targets
  • Periodically reporting on the progress of the activities as well as on the necessary actions to correct any unwanted deviations
