EBA Odesa Extended Coordination Council meeting

15/ 05/ 2020
On May 15, 2020, the second in 2020  meeting of the Regional Coordination Council of the Assosiation (RCC) with the participation of Committees’ & Working Groups’ Heads was held. This time we met online. Kateryna Morozova, Head of the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office, provided a brief information on the results of the Offices activities during quarantine, shared the latest successes and achievements. Thus, since March, the Association has managed to completely reformat its activities to a remote operation mode. During the current period, we have processed numerous appeals from member companies, they have become the basis for meetings with the authorities, individual and collective lobbying initiatives. Moreover, in such a short period of time, the Odessa Office managed to organize more than 20 useful and relevant online events. A nice bonus for member companies was the opportunity to join the events of the Kyiv and regional offices of the Association, even without leaving home or office. We tried to keep in touch as much as possible, for this purpose we created EBA Direct Line on Facebook for quick business calls and conducted several surveys on the situation due to quarantine restrictions. We covered the good deeds of member companies in the fight against Covid-19. In addition, several blogs and articles were prepared by the Office regarding the unified procedure for coordinating routes, restoring the balance of life in conditions of total uncertainty, and the logistics industry in conditions of quarantine. In turn, the RCC members and the Committees’ & Working Groups’ Heads spoke about their own experience of adapting companies to new conditions and the transformation of their activities. It should be mentioned that most companies have been able to go through this difficult period of uncertainty, improving all workflows and discovering new opportunities. Then the participants discussed further plans in the activities of the Southern Ukrainian office, taking into account the new realities. Emphasis was placed on the development of the following areas: advocacy of business interests, strengthening the dialogue with public authorities, the implementation of new formats of events online. Thanks to the participants of the meeting for your enthusiasm! We continue to stand together and move only forward!
