EBA Odesa Lifehacks: Business Etiquette

  A fundamental component of the culture of interpersonal relationships is etiquette, which unites society and provides a structure of interaction between people. And it is especially important in business, where any communication pursues the main goal of making money. Thus etiquette can help you achieve this aim and maintain mutual respect and good relations with all the participants in the process. 16 August 2018 Southern Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association gathered member companies‘ representatives to share Lifehacks in Business Etiquette. The speaker became Viktoriia Romashchenkopresented Top 20 manners to success. Participants learnt that business etiquette was rule set of verbal and non-verbal business communication that regulate the order of meeting delegations, conducting business conversations, negotiations, official and informal events. The culture of business communication is based on the general principles of business culture and the moral and ethical rules of business etiquette. Under all conditions, the main principles of business communication are emotional restraint, attention to the interlocutor, visual contact, focus on conversation, avoidance of disputes, confidentiality of conversation, positive reaction to a partner, avoidance of hasty conclusions, extra advice, modeling and observance of the line of conduct, forecasting conflict, analysis of personal and professional qualities of the partner. Mrs. Victoria also revealed the secrets of the ethical rules of dating, dress code, negotiation, and the end of the meeting.
