The Southern Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association, jointly with the Ukraine Recovery Committee, invites business representatives and banking institutions that are EBA member companies to join a working online meeting, which will take place on 13 August at 12:00 and will focus on business access to financing under martial law.

During the meeting, participants will present and discuss the key challenges businesses face in securing new bank financing, as well as the proposals and recommendations developed by EBA member companies to improve approaches to business lending during wartime.

During the event, companies will share practical case studies on:

  • obtaining financing after damage to or loss of production facilities;
  • approaches to assessing the creditworthiness of companies operating under wartime risks;
  • challenges related to restoring production, business relocation, expanding export opportunities, and implementing investment projects.

Special attention will be given to discussing ways to improve credit risk assessment approaches, mechanisms for sharing wartime risks between the state, the banking sector, and businesses, as well as identifying practical solutions that will support the recovery and development of Ukrainian enterprises.

The meeting aims to foster an open dialogue between the banking sector and businesses, facilitate the exchange of practical experience, identify the main barriers to accessing finance, and develop joint recommendations for improving lending conditions for businesses operating during wartime.
