Registration is open for everyone. Due to the lack of resources and generally unstable environment, solving these challenges will require unconventional thinking and the most efficient interventions. One promising avenue that has already established itself among the most progressive governments, businesses and international agencies worldwide is to apply the evidence from behavioural science.  The behavioural insights approach applies evidence about human behaviour to practical problems. First, it examines what motivates and shapes human behaviour and how it is influenced by heuristics, biases, irrationality, emotions, social norms, messengers, defaults, incentives etc. Then, the behavioural insights approach helps design a solution that accounts for these psychological aspects and changes people’s behaviour towards a more desirable one. Overall, the behavioural science approach helps to shift people’s actions and make systems more human-centred and resilient. This method is especially valuable when other options, such as structural changes and funding, are unavailable.
