The European Business Association informs about the opportunity to participate in the Ukrainian Business Council Conference  Key Priorities 2025 for Economic Recovery, which will take place on May 9, 2025, at 13:00 in an online format. The conference aims to discuss projects that are essential for the Smart Politics Interfactional Association and the business community. In particular: According to surveys, the State Tax Service (STS) remains among the top five most corrupt government bodies in Ukraine. A reboot of the STS is crucial – Draft Law No. 9243. Fulfillment of the IMF memorandum provision on addressing the erosion of payroll taxes – the introduction of clear employment criteria to distinguish between freelancers and hired employees. Implementation of a mandatory cost-benefit analysis for businesses, citizens, and the state when registering all draft laws in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Ensuring fair competition and implementing EU directives – Draft Laws No. 12429, No. 12430. Introducing performance indicators for the State Migration Service and State Tax Service – Draft Laws No. 12359, No. 12360. Amending the Criminal Procedure Code to mandate closure of pre-trial investigations due to time expiration after serving a person with a notice of suspicion in corruption cases, ensuring protection of the rights of parties to criminal proceedings, and introducing safeguards against law enforcement pressure on business – Draft Law No. 12439. Enabling the development of government e-services by private entities and minimizing the number of communal and state-owned enterprises. Establishing a modern labor law based on freedom of employment contracts – continuing the effect of Law 2434-IX on the simplified regime for SMEs not only during wartime but also on a permanent basis. Simplifying documentation processes for SMEs, removing the requirement for acts of completed works/services, and transitioning to an invoice model.
