Geostrategy for Business Leaders: Navigating the Russia-Ukraine War in a Fragmented Global Economy. Date: 22 May2025. Time: 09:00 16:30. Language: English (without translation). For decades, globalization brought unparalleled benefits – global supply chains, increased efficiency, market expansion, and product innovation. But the world is shifting. Today’s geopolitical transformations signal a move toward a multipolar economy. The Russias full-scale military invasion of Ukraine has accelerated this shift, adding complexity and volatility to the global business landscape. Against this backdrop, business leaders are increasingly asking: How can we monitor geopolitical risks and build strategies to navigate them effectively? To address this pressing question, the University of Zurich, together with the European Business Association and Global Business for Ukraine, is hosting an invitation-only, full-day workshop on May 22 at 09:00. Businesses and scholars will present the current state of geopolitics as it relates to Ukraine, introduce tools and resources for companies to track emerging risks, and outline strategies for navigating the situation. Participants will then share how geopolitics affect their businesses and, together with the EBA and other experts, explore strategic and political solutions. Pre-event Dinner | 21.05.2025 All workshop participants are invited to an informal networking dinner in Zurich on May 21 at 19:00, the evening before the workshop. This relaxed gathering offers a chance to connect and exchange preliminary ideas. Please note that prior registration is required, and only registered participants will be notified of any possible changes to the schedule. Kindly note that only EBA and GB4U members are invited to participate in the workshop. If you are not a member yet, please contact our Business Development team at [email protected].
