Business School for Defenders: Solar Energy for Business: Trends and Prospects for 2025

PrivatBank, in partnership with the European Business Association, OLX Ukraine, and Mastercard, has launched the “Business School for Defenders” on the PrivatBank Business Platform. This educational project provides Ukrainian servicemen, servicewomen, and veterans with knowledge, tools, and support for a successful transition to civilian life through entrepreneurship.

The online course will be free of charge for defenders. Family members of military personnel, who have taken on the responsibility of managing businesses while their loved ones are on the front lines, will also be able to participate.

Registration for the course is open on the PrivatBank Business Platform.

We aim to help defenders realize their entrepreneurial dreams by leveraging existing skills and developing new ones. The “Business School for Defenders” is focused on creating and growing one’s own business, providing the necessary knowledge and resources to successfully implement entrepreneurial ideas.

“This project is, in many ways, a token of gratitude to our heroes. We sincerely believe that building a personal business is a path through which our defenders can achieve economic independence and adapt to post-war life. At the same time, it’s an investment in strengthening Ukraine’s future economy,” said Yevhen Zaigraiev, Member of the Board for Corporate and SME Business at PrivatBank.

“According to a European Business Association survey, 43% of SMEs have employees serving in the Armed Forces. We all eagerly await their return and understand that many veteran colleagues will need retraining or upskilling. We are committed to supporting them, which is why we are backing this educational initiative today,” said Olena Ero, Head of the Unlimit Ukraine Project at the European Business Association.

Speaker: Serhii Zinkevych. Serhii is a solar energy specialist, CEO and co-owner of SUNSAY NRG.

He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering, which strengthens his technical expertise in the field of solar energy. Before joining SUNSAY NRG, he served as a consultant for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Commission, making a significant contribution to Ukraine’s energy strategy development.
