EBA Workshop: Coaching Competencies in the Manager’s Tasks

16/ 04/ 2019
Employees easily change job places and have no fear of leaving company nowadays. They become more conscious, want to be respected and look for personal growth. Directive Leadership Style is not efficient any longer, while the subordinates prefer partnership relations based on respect and equal treatment. The successful leader should be able to build trust relationship in the team. Consequently, managers have to be flexible in order to retain key staff. An alternative to the old ways of management is Coaching Approach – a New Leadership Style, which stimulates thinking and creativity of the person. Participants of the meeting found out about coaching approach implementation and its results in the leading international companies, differences between coaching in its pure form and coaching approach. Use of 11 coaching competencies in leader’s daily routine and the magic of powerful questions were discussed. “It is better to ask questions instead of giving direct instructions to your employees. Questions stimulate insights, creativity and search of better decisions of the personnel,” says Ruslana Orlovska, ICF Professional Certified Coach .
