EBA Dnipro Workshop: MEDIATION as a useful instrument for business

13/ 04/ 2021
Mediation is a strong structured, accessible and effective tool for resolving conflict situations. This method is based on the principles of nonviolent communication that uses request, not demand. Mediation aims to preserve business relationships, especially for family businesses, work conflicts, when it is necessary to find a common solution for all parties. As a part of EBA Dnipro Workshop we together with the speaker and non-violent communication practitioner  Mila Leonova, considered the components of it such as: ✔ firstly mediator communicates with the parties, tells about the process and rules ✔next is the introductory conversation, its very emotional stage, when each of the participants describes a problem situation or a conflict ✔ having learned the details of the dispute, the mediator acts as an impartial translator from the language of accusations into the language of facts and clarifies different views  ✔having clarified the conflict, the mediator directs the parties to find a solution that will satisfy both parties to reach an agreement. ✔after the settlement of the dispute, the parties may sign an agreement if they agree with the result. It is important to remember that in the mediation process 90% of success depends on the work and efforts belong to the parties, not the mediator. Therefore, it is worthwhile to enter the mediation process consciously and voluntarily, because only in this way you can get the best result and contribute to your future relationship, and save time and resources. American research proves that mediation can bring significant financial savings compared to litigation - up to 70%. So, we truly thank Mila Leonova for practical cases and advices about mediation as an alternative method of resolving conflicts not only in business but also in life.
