BDO in Ukraine at the BDO Global Deal Advisory Conference 2026: M&A, AI and International Collaboration

23/ 10/ 2026
Representatives of BDO in Ukraine, Vitaliy Strukov and Valeriy Afanasyev, took part in the Global Deal Advisory Conference 2026, which brought together Deal Advisory leaders and experts from around the world to discuss the network’s strategic development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market trends, international collaboration, and the adoption of emerging technologies in advisory services. The conference provided an important platform for BDO teams from different countries to exchange experience, identify key priorities for the development of the global M&A practice in the coming years, and discuss the effective use of AI. Particular attention was paid to the opportunities offered by the scale of BDO’s global network. Following the 2025 results, the global BDO network ranked first among financial advisors worldwide by number of M&A deals for the fourth consecutive year in the FactSet Global League Tables. The growing number of cross-border transactions and the increasing complexity of the business environment require a combination of industry knowledge, local experience and international expertise. “The Global Deal Advisory Conference 2026 confirmed that the future of corporate finance and M&A advisory is being shaped at the intersection of international collaboration, industry expertise and technology. I particularly valued the discussions on the practical implementation and effective use of AI, the development of global centres of expertise, and stronger collaboration between BDO teams worldwide. These approaches enable us to support our clients even more effectively in delivering complex projects in Ukraine and executing cross-border transactions,” said Vitaliy Strukov, Managing Partner, M&A, BDO in Ukraine. “It was particularly interesting to compare how our colleagues in the US, the UK and Australia approach the use of AI. These discussions provide not only fresh ideas, but also a clear understanding of which solutions and tools we can implement in our own practice,” said Valeriy Afanasyev, Valuation Partner at BDO in Ukraine. Participation in the conference marked another step towards strengthening collaboration among BDO teams worldwide. The exchange of practical experience and international best practices helps BDO in Ukraine further develop its expertise and provide clients with modern solutions for dealmaking and business transformation. Need support with dealmaking and strategic transformation? The BDO in Ukraine Deal Advisory team supports businesses and investors at every stage of the deal lifecycle, including the preparation and execution of M&A transactions, raising investment, financial modelling, financial and tax due diligence, and business valuation.
