More than a job: how Kinstellar supports employees in Ukraine during wartime

21/ 10/ 2026
Kateryna Kryvozub, HR manager at Kinstellar Ukraine, shares the ways the Firm stands by its people in Ukraine, creating a supportive and resilient workplace and providing practical support. A productive working environment in the country has taken on additional meaning in recent years. In addition to professional opportunities and challenging projects, employees now seek stability, security, and confidence in the support of their employer. And we view such support not merely as a standard set of HR benefits, but as practical solutions. Preparing for winter challenges. As in the past year, our Winter Resilience program provides financial assistance to employees, and they independently decide how they would spend such funds: for temporary relocation to safer areas, purchase of equipment, power sources, or other means to provide stable working and living conditions. A special working group is ensuring the readiness of office infrastructure, backup power, and communications. Our office in Kyiv will work as a Resilience Point with the necessary equipment to work during blackouts. We will provide comprehensive first aid and emergency response training, with a strong focus on practical skills. In addition, we plan to introduce psychological support through both group and individual counseling sessions, as well as dedicated webinars led by a psychologist. Real property insurance. One tangible nonroutine solution has been to insure the real property of employees in Kyiv and the Kyiv region against wartime risks. Because such risks have a direct impact on feelings of security – the Firm has decided to help with this fundamental matter. Comfort in everyday work. We regularly solicit feedback from the team. One such request centred on company lunches. In August, we launched a company lunch program: Kinstellar allocates a budget for meals, and employees can order meals according to their preferences. Strong teamwork. We organise corporate retreats, including family-oriented events, where employee family members are invited to come along and join us. This helps to strengthen teamwork, trust and a sense of belonging. Employees also have the opportunity to feel part of Kinstellar’s broader regional community and gain international professional experience through secondment programmes. Community. Support for charitable and social projects remains an integral part of our corporate culture. We work with charities and directly support the relevant initiatives through our Community Investment program. We remain committed to supporting our colleagues who are currently serving in the Armed Forces. The Firm provides them with financial support on a monthly basis. Support that reflects reality. Caring about our staff has been increasingly important. As the needs of our staff change, so do the solutions that can offer the greatest help. External challenges remain. Accordingly, its important to us that words are always backed up by concrete action. To this end, we continue our efforts to ensure greater stability, predictability, and support within the company for all our employees.
