Autumn Session of OTP Kids Camp: Ukrainian Children Enjoy a Holiday at Lake Balaton

20/ 10/ 2026
OTP Kids Camp has launched its autumn session, welcoming 35 children who traveled from Ukraine to the shores of Lake Balaton, the largest freshwater lake in Central Europe. During the trip, the children have an opportunity to relax, recharge, and enjoy new experiences in one of Hungary’s most picturesque regions. A rich and engaging program has been prepared for the camp participants, combining educational excursions, outdoor activities, and entertainment. The children will discover Budapest, explore the underground caves of Tapolca, visit the medieval Sümeg Castle, enjoy karting in Veszprém, take in panoramic views from the Balatonboglár Observation Sphere, and participate in many other exciting activities. OTP Kids Camp has been organized for four consecutive years. During this period, a total of 662 Ukrainian children have taken part in the camps. The autumn sessions were introduced for the first time in 2025, and this year’s trip continues that growing tradition. “We are delighted to continue the OTP Kids Camp project and give children an opportunity, even if only for a short time, to step away from the challenges of everyday life, relax, make new friends, and experience joyful moments. Each camp session is not only a journey but also an important contribution to children’s emotional recovery. I would like to sincerely thank our partners, whose support has made it possible to successfully implement this initiative for four years in a row,” said Lesya Syrota, Team Leader of the OTP Bank Helps Ukraine project and Director of the Retail Sales and Network Management Department at OTP Bank Ukraine. The OTP Kids Camp initiative is implemented jointly by OTP Bank Ukraine through its charitable program OTP Bank Helps Ukraine, OTP Bank Hungary, Ukrzaliznytsia, and the Blahomai Charity Foundation. The project aims to support Ukrainian children by creating opportunities for recreation, recovery, and personal development in a safe and welcoming environment.
