ADER HABER Launches Tax Advisory Practice Led by Svitlana Lurie (ex. Musienko)

06/ 10/ 2026
ADER HABER is launching a Tax Advisory Practice led by Svitlana Lurie (ex.Musienko), one of Ukraine’s most experienced tax advisors, who is joining the firm as Partner. Svitlana has more than 25 years of professional experience in tax law and consulting. She has twice built a tax practice in the Ukrainian legal market and has spent recent years in Sweden working in M&A and private equity, combining deep expertise in Ukrainian tax law with experience in complex international transactions and multi-jurisdictional projects. At DLA Piper, Svitlana built the Kyiv office’s tax practice from the ground up and went on to lead it. The practice covered the core areas of tax law, from tax disputes and M&A structuring to international taxation and transfer pricing. Under her leadership, it was recognized by Chambers, The Legal 500 and International Tax Review. At Sayenko Kharenko, as Partner and Head of Tax, Svitlana launched the firm’s Tax Advisory practice and helped integrate it with the firm’s other practices. From 2023 to 2025, Svitlana worked at PwC Sweden in Stockholm as Senior Tax Counsel in the M&A & Private Equity practice. There she advised leading companies and investors in the Swedish market on M&A projects across a range of industries, with work spanning tax due diligence and transaction risk assessment through to tax structuring and deal execution. On these projects, she coordinated international teams and workstreams spanning more than 17 jurisdictions. Her international work includes working with EQT on a large-scale, multi-jurisdictional internal restructuring program, as well as coordinating the tax workstream on projects involving Karo Healthcare and SAS. “Tax solutions should not come into play only after a business decision has already been made. They are part of the architecture of the transaction itself — whether that means investing, raising capital, entering a new market or scaling a business. That is how we see Tax Advisory at ADER HABER: an integrated effort by tax, corporate and regulatory advisors focused on the client’s business challenge. Our job is not simply to identify the tax consequences, but to work with the client to build a legal and tax architecture that enables them to achieve their business goals. The tax function should strengthen the resilience of the business, helping it adapt to today’s realities,” says Svitlana. ADER HABER’s Tax Advisory Practice will assist Ukrainian and international companies, founders and investors with international taxation, the tax and legal structuring of transactions, transfer pricing strategies and general tax advisory matters. The team will work at the intersection of tax, corporate and regulatory law, ensuring that the structure of each project is aligned with the client’s business goals and helping clients implement tax solutions that mitigate the impact of force majeure events on their business operations.
