EBA participates in international Ukraine ReHealth 2026 event

09/ 09/ 2026
2–3 September saw the large-scale international event Ukraine ReHealth 2026 take place in Kyiv, focusing on the recovery, modernisation and innovative development of Ukraine’s healthcare sector. The event brought together more than 30 leading speakers and experts from 15 countries, providing an important platform for open dialogue between government, business and international partners. The European Business Association’s Health Care Committee presented its work and initiatives at its own stand. Meanwhile, Committee Manager Anna Bezruk took part as a speaker in the panel discussion “Medical Technologies, Equipment and Clinics of the Future: What Does Ukraine Really Need?” Together with other experts, she discussed current issues and challenges related to introducing high-quality innovations into Ukrainian healthcare facilities. During her presentation, Anna shared European experience in health technology assessment (HTA) of medical devices and highlighted the role of HTA in informed decisions on the introduction, financing and procurement of technologies, taking into account their value for patients and the healthcare system. Ukraine ReHealth 2026 combined an exhibition area featuring advanced medical equipment and solutions with a comprehensive discussion programme covering key topics: Infrastructure modernisation and investment: approaches to creating sustainable hospitals of the future, from needs assessment and design to securing financing; the financial architecture of recovery; the vision for healthcare system development over the next 5–10 years; and opportunities and challenges for investment in Ukraine’s HealthTech sector. Military and frontline medicine: the second day of the conference focused entirely on creating a unified medical space, ensuring continuity of care for the wounded at every stage, strengthening psychological resilience as an integral part of defence capability, and deepening international partnerships to reinforce healthcare in frontline regions. The EBA Health Care Committee thanks the organisers for creating a unique professional platform, and all participants and partners for their productive cooperation and active dialogue. We are confident that through the joint efforts of government, the international community and responsible business, we will continue building a resilient and modern healthcare system in Ukraine.
