Requirements:

  • Higher education in Communications, Journalism, Linguistics, Social Sciences or a related field.
  • At least 2−3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in sponsorship, donor relations, communications, programme coordination or a related area.
  • Experience working with an international NGO, humanitarian or development organisation is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of child-centred communication and safeguarding principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Ukrainian and English (С1).
  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
  • Experience producing or overseeing photo and video content.
  • Experience working with databases and information management systems would be an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple processes and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure the accuracy and quality of information.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues from different professional and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented and self-directed approach to work.
  • Willingness to travel within Ukraine and abroad when required.

Responsibiities:

  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of the sponsorship programme across SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine programmes.
  • Act as the national focal point for sponsorship-related matters and coordinate with relevant colleagues across the SOS Children’s Villages network and the International Sponsorship Office.
  • Ensure that all eligible children are identified and registered with the International Sponsorship Office in accordance with applicable sponsorship standards and procedures.
  • Ensure the smooth and timely flow of sponsorship correspondence between children, programmes, sponsors and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the collection and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date information on sponsored children throughout the sponsorship cycle, including regular updates in the CRM system.
  • Ensure the quality, completeness and accuracy of sponsorship data and records.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of mid-year and end-of-year reports on sponsored children and programmes.
  • Ensure that relevant information on children’s development and progress is appropriately reflected in sponsorship reporting and communication.
  • Oversee the production of child digital diaries, including photographs and videos, for all sponsored children and programmes, in line with SOS Children’s Villages guidelines and child safeguarding requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation and logistics of sponsor visits to programmes and locations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to programme teams involved in sponsorship activities and ensure they understand relevant processes, requirements and deadlines.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of sponsorship processes, identify gaps and risks, and coordinate appropriate improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOS Children’s Villages International sponsorship standards, organisational policies, child safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and harmonisation of sponsorship processes, tools and practices across SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine.
