Place: Онлайн в Teams ; Офлайн - Creative States of Arsenal (вул. Князів Острозьких 8, корпус 7. Dear colleagues, The European Business Association invites you to join a meeting dedicated to preparing businesses for financing and understanding the current ESG and E&S requirements of banks and international investors. Date: 03 September 2026 Time: 11:00–12:30 Format: hybrid — online via  Teams and offline at Creative States of Arsenal Today, securing financing increasingly involves assessing not only a company’s financial position but also its environmental, social and governance risks. For large businesses, this may involve comprehensive Environmental & Social Due Diligence as part of international financing, while for small and medium-sized enterprises, it may involve E&S/ESG screening when obtaining financing from a Ukrainian bank. During the meeting, we will discuss: how to assess a company’s ESG/E&S readiness before starting financing negotiations; what documents, data and internal policies may be required during the assessment; common gaps and red flags related to environmental compliance, occupational health and safety, contractors and suppliers, land and social issues; how preparation for comprehensive E&S Due Diligence differs from preparation for bank financing in Ukraine; which international standards and requirements may apply during the assessment; what happens after gaps and non-compliances are identified and which of them can be included in an Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP); how to move from a reactive approach — “the bank sent a request, so we start collecting documents” — to a systematic approach to financing readiness. The practical focus of the meeting will be on helping companies identify potential risks and gaps in advance, prepare the necessary documentation, and make ESG/E&S readiness an integral part of their overall investment readiness. The event will be particularly relevant for business owners and executives, CFOs and finance directors, investment and legal teams, ESG/EHS, risk and compliance professionals, as well as businesses planning to attract bank, international or investment financing.
