Company visit by the Manufacturing Committee of the Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association to FORMATSIA. Lviv

14/ 07/ 2026
What does manufacturing really need to scale fast? It’s not just land. It’s not just buildings. And it’s not just investment. What manufacturers need most is an ecosystem where the fundamentals are already in place. Infrastructure. Reliable energy. Efficient logistics. Room to expand. And the right support from day one. These were the key takeaways from the Manufacturing Committee Company Visit organized by the Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association to FORMATSIA. Lviv. Here are four insights every manufacturer should keep in mind: 🔹 The cost of a facility is only part of the equation. The real calculation includes utilities, grid connection, logistics, commissioning timelines, workforce availability, and future expansion opportunities. 🔹 Ready-to-use infrastructure accelerates investment. The fewer administrative and regulatory barriers companies face, the faster they can move from an investment decision to production. 🔹 Manufacturing grows where ecosystems exist. When manufacturers, suppliers, logistics providers, and service companies operate side by side, businesses innovate faster, reduce costs, and build stronger partnerships. 🔹 Industrial parks are more than locations. They can become powerful drivers of regional economic growth by creating jobs, strengthening value-added manufacturing, and attracting long-term investment. Our discussion also addressed the challenges that continue to shape Ukraine’s manufacturing sector today: talent shortages, access to energy capacity, regulatory procedures, and the need for greater predictability for investors. A sincere thank you to the Formatsia Industrial Park. Lviv team for the warm welcome, openness, and the opportunity to see how modern industrial infrastructure is being built in Ukraine. Special thanks to Yuriy Yatsynych, Chair of the Manufacturing Committee, for his leadership, dedication, and continuous efforts to strengthen collaboration across the manufacturing community. What is the single most important factor your company considers when choosing a manufacturing location?
