EBA Kharkiv Finance and Tax Committee

24/ 07/ 2026
The EBA Kharkiv held an online meeting of the Finance and Tax Committee with the participation of experts from Crowe Mikhailenko and representatives of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Kharkiv region. During the meeting, participants discussed current changes in tax legislation, new legislative initiatives, court practice, and the approaches of tax authorities that are already impacting business operations. The focus was on the results of tax audits and the practice of appealing them, legislative changes regarding VAT and the activities of sole proprietors, issues related to the international Common Reporting Standard (CRS), as well as new approaches to the taxation of digital assets. The speakers devoted special attention to recent Supreme Court rulings, issues related to the taxation of transactions involving corporate rights, capital contributions, loans, guarantees, gifts, and inheritance, as well as the prospects for introducing tax mediation as a mechanism for pre-litigation dispute resolution. We would like to thank Dmytro Mykhailenko, our guest Oleksandr Kirsh, and representatives of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Kharkiv region for their explanations, open dialogue, and practical recommendations. It is precisely these kinds of meetings that help businesses respond promptly to legislative changes, better understand tax practices, and build effective cooperation with government authorities.
