Online-Lecture: Managing Proactively: Risks as a Tool for Confident Decisions. Date: 10 November2026. Time: 11:00 12:30. Language: Ukrainian. Fee: free of charge for EBA members. Place: Will be online. Most of us tend to treat risk as an extra task with no real value — something easy to postpone or ignore, because “there are enough real problems to solve as it is.” But what if we learned to see risk not as a nuisance, but as a source of information that makes our decisions sharper and more confident? In this lecture we will talk about risk management not as box-ticking bureaucracy, but as a practical tool for proactive leadership — in projects, teams, and business as a whole. EBA Management Development Center Team, together with Svitlana Chaika, invite you to participate in the Online-Lecture: Managing Proactively: Risks as a Tool for Confident Decisions.  Target audience: leaders, project and program managers, team leads and product owners who make decisions under uncertainty; professionals responsible for quality, processes, and operational efficiency; and anyone who wants to turn risk from a source of anxiety into a foundation for confident decisions.  Questions for discussion:  Risks working for you: how risk management either prevents problems before they arise or turns them into opportunities that create value. We’ll look at real (anonymized) cases from different fields — including a project with roughly €5.5M in impact.  Risk as information, not a threat: the shift in perspective that makes decisions sharper and forward motion faster.  Spotting risks early: the simple pre-mortem technique (“imagine the failure to avoid it”) and risk prioritization by Risk Priority Number (RPN, in a simplified form — probability × impact).  From risk to a confident decision: four strategies — avoid, reduce, transfer, accept — turning a list of threats into a concrete action plan.  Hands-on in the chat: we’ll work through a shared training case and step by step craft proper risk statements, then response strategies. If you wish, drop your own case into the chat and we’ll bring it to a clear formulation and decision together.  Please note that the opinions and views expressed by the trainer (speaker) during the event are solely his/her personal position and intellectual property and in no way represent the official position of the European Business Association. Registration is mandatory. To participate, please click the “Registration” button. Only Association members may register for the event.
