Agrochemicals

10/ 07/ 2026
On 9 July, the fourth meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council on the State Registration of Pesticides and Agrochemicals under the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine took place. As a result of the meeting, more than 100 products were recommended for state registration. In particular, the Council recommended the registration of: 84 plant protection products (PPPs); 30 fertilisers, plant growth regulators, and biological products. The European Business Association expresses its gratitude to the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Health, and the members of the Scientific and Expert Council for ensuring the timely organisation of the state registration process. Efficient and timely operation of the plant protection system is essential for safeguarding food security, enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural products, and improving their quality, availability, and variety. In addition, two research institutions have been authorised to conduct state trials of plant protection products and fertilisers: Kundiiev Institute of Occupational Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine – in the field of toxicological and hygienic assessment; SGS Ukraine – in the field of biological assessment. Expanding the list of authorised institutions is crucial for preventing overload within the testing system, broadening the geographical coverage of trials, and increasing the range of crops for which research can be conducted.
