EBA discussed the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Veterinary Medicine and Animal Welfare” with the Ministry of Economy and the SFSS

  A working meeting was held between the Animal Health Committee of the European Business Association, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, dedicated to the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Veterinary Medicine and Animal Welfare”. During the meeting, participants discussed the prospects for recognising EU GMP certificates, approaches to batch testing of veterinary medicinal products without duplicating testing procedures in Ukraine, as well as the capacity of national laboratories to perform the relevant functions. The participants also considered the launch of state registration procedures for veterinary medicinal products, the adoption of the necessary secondary legislation, amendments to marketing authorisations, and the possible extension of the transitional period for implementing new GMP and batch control requirements. The Association is grateful to the participants for the constructive dialogue and joint efforts aimed at improving the regulatory environment in the field of veterinary medicine and animal welfare.
