EBA participates in discussion on reform of unified environmental permitting

03/ 06/ 2026
On 27 May, members of the Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee of the European Business Association took part in the roundtable discussion “Reform of Industrial Pollution Prevention and Control: Introduction of Unified Permits”, organised by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture. During the event, participants discussed the next steps in the reform of industrial pollution prevention and control, in particular the introduction of a unified environmental permitting system, the digitalisation of permitting procedures, the development of an integrated environmental permitting framework, and business adaptation to new environmental requirements. The introduction of a unified system is expected to streamline permitting procedures for businesses, reduce the administrative burden, and bring Ukraine’s environmental regulatory framework closer to European standards. The Association thanks the Ministry for involving the business community in the reform discussion and supports continued dialogue between the government and businesses on building an effective and transparent environmental regulatory system.
