Warm greetings on International Clinical Trials Day

20/ 05/ 2026
Dear Clinical Trials Community, The Clinical Trials Subcommittee of the European Business Association sincerely congratulates you on International Clinical Trials Day. This day brings together everyone shaping the future of medicine – doctors, investigators and researchers, sponsors and contract research organizations, representatives of business, public authorities, and the wider expert community. Your work is a unique combination of science, exceptional dedication and responsibility, and deep humanity. Thank you for your joint efforts to provide patients with access to innovative treatments and a chance for recovery. In the face of unprecedented challenges, clinical trials in Ukraine continue to demonstrate resilience, high professionalism, and responsibility. Today, this work requires not only profound expertise, but also dedication, perseverance, and the ability to adapt - and we are sincerely grateful to everyone who continues to carry it forward. Behind every life-saving innovation lie years of dedicated work, commitment, and belief in the value of what we do. In Ukraine, this work also requires remarkable courage today. We express our sincere gratitude to investigators and researchers for their professionalism and commitment to patients, and to sponsors and contract research organizations for their trust, investment, and continuity of operations. We highly appreciate the constructive cooperation with our public partners – the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control – whose joint efforts contribute to the development of the СТ sector. We highly value openness to dialogue, joint problem-solving, and consistent steps towards improving the regulatory environment, which enable clinical trials to continue developing even under the most challenging conditions. An important stage lies ahead, associated with the full harmonization of legislation with European Union standards and the implementation of the new Law of Ukraine “On Medicinal Products.” We are confident that these changes will open new opportunities for Ukraine’s integration into the international clinical research landscape. The EBA Clinical Trials Subcommittee will continue making every effort to support the development of clinical trials and strengthen the professional community. We wish you safety, resilience, inspiration, and new achievements. May your work continue to bring hope to patients and transform lives for the better. Together, we work for life and for a healthier future for Ukraine.
