Anna Derevyanko spoke at Chatham House and EBRD conference on Ukraine’s recovery

19/ 05/ 2026
Anna Derevyanko, Executive Director of the European Business Association, spoke at the high-level conference “From destruction to recovery: Building Ukraine’s future prosperity” in London, organised by Chatham House in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.   The conference focused on Ukraine’s wartime recovery and the policies needed to support the country’s long-term economic prosperity.   Ukraine is open for forward-looking business. At the same time, creating a predictable investment climate and attracting international investors requires progress in several key areas, including: long-term security guarantees; strengthening the rule of law and trust in the judicial system; effective anti-corruption measures; continued EU integration-driven reforms and regulatory alignment; significant reduction of the shadow economy; accelerated digitalisation of public services and governance. According to Anna, these steps are essential for supporting sustainable economic growth and Ukraine’s recovery.   We are grateful to the organisers for the invitation and the opportunity to represent the voice of businesses operating in Ukraine at an international platform in London.
