EBA representative participates in the international Pigs Farming Industry forum

30/ 04/ 2026
The Manager of the Animal Health Committee of the European Business Association took part in the international Pigs Farming Industry forum, which brought together industry representatives to discuss the challenges and prospects for the development of livestock farming. The discussions focused on legislative changes in the field of veterinary medicine and the market’s readiness for their implementation. Particular attention was given to the need to recognise European Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificates, as well as the results of batch release testing for veterinary medicinal products. These approaches are standard practice in EU countries and help avoid duplication of procedures while maintaining high standards of product quality and safety. Participants also highlighted the risks that may arise if these approaches are not taken into account. In particular, this includes potential disruptions in the supply of veterinary medicines and shortages of high-quality products, especially vaccines, which are critical for ensuring animal health and disease control. The forum served as a platform for open dialogue between business, experts, and industry representatives to identify balanced solutions in the context of Ukraine’s European integration.
