EBA representative participates in Verkhovna Rada Roundtable on the Dairy Sector

  Tetiana Shyrochenko, Committees Manager at the European Business Association, took part in the roundtable discussion “Strategic Development of Ukraine’s Dairy Sector: Challenges and Prospects” at the invitation of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy. The event was chaired by Oleksandr Haidu, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, and attended by Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotskyi, as well as representatives of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the State Customs Service, the National Police and the business community. During the roundtable, participants discussed the overall state of the dairy industry and prospects for dairy exports. Particular attention was paid to the need to combat counterfeit products and smuggling, which distort fair competition in the market and pose risks to consumer health. The discussion also covered support programmes for the dairy sector, which is currently facing significant challenges. The Association expresses its gratitude to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and other relevant public authorities for their attention to issues of importance to the dairy market.
