EBA and GB4U hold meeting with Spanish partners on investment and reconstruction

23/ 02/ 2026
The European Business Association and Global Business for Ukraine held a meeting with Clara Guzmán Zapater, Director General of the Spanish Bureau for Ukraine Rebuilding, and her colleagues from the Bureau and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Ukraine. During the meeting, EBA Executive Director and GB4U CEO and Cofounder Anna Derevyanko shared insights on the current state of business in Ukraine, the investment climate, and the key challenges companies are facing, particularly the energy situation and labour market constraints. Participants also discussed reconstruction prospects, as well as opportunities for Spanish and European investors.   The EBA and GB4U team also presented their activities and tools available to support investors entering the Ukrainian market. A key message delivered to Spanish partners was clear: by investing in Ukraine, you are investing in a future EU member.   Spanish partners confirmed that there is interest from investors, although many remain cautious due to the war, uncertainty, and the need for further reforms. At the same time, companies continue to explore the market and assess potential opportunities.   The EBA and GB4U teams will stay in close contact with the Bureau and Embassy, provide informational support to Spanish businesses interested in Ukraine, and facilitate B2B introductions to help develop future cooperation.
