CMS advised ING Bank N.V. on USD 70m working capital credit facility to Kernel Group

  CMS has advised ING Bank N.V. on a USD 70m working capital credit facility to Ukraine’s Kernel Group, one of the country’s largest producer and seller of bottled sunflower oil and the world’s leading sunflower oil producer and exporter with a share of 10% in global export. The facility supports Kernel’s operational needs and supply chain resilience at a pivotal time for Ukraine’s agrifood sector, and complements Kernel’s sustainable agriculture programme focused on responsible land stewardship, emissions reduction and resource efficiency reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to climate-aligned growth and food security. ING’s continued support of Ukraine’s agricultural sector is critical to maintaining export capacity, stabilising rural livelihoods and advancing sustainability standards. Kateryna Chechulina, English law qualified counsel at CMS Ukraine, commented: “We are pleased to have supported ING and Kernel on this important financing.
